Our Story

WechatIMG1257.jpeg

"In 1998, I was introduced to RPG games through my older friends playing Legend of Sword and Fairy. After graduating from university and becoming an English teacher, I observed students memorizing words in a dull manner and wondered if language learning could be combined with games to increase their interest and improve their vocabulary, reading speed, and speaking skills.

While reading the MEITE project at UNC Chapel Hill, I discovered a serious game called Where on Google Earth is Carmen SanDiego and conducted a game learning analysis. This inspired me to create my own language role-playing game. Thanks to the support of mentors from UNC School of Education and additional partners from the MEITE program, as well as funding from the Khayrallah Innovation Fund, we are now developing the first prototype of our game. Our adventure continues!"
